ROUND 18 BROTHERS vs EAGLES
Penrith Brothers Bundaberg Red Cup sides season is all but over with a loss to Campbelltown Eagles 38 - 24, it was a hard fought match from start to finish even with Campbelltown playing with 12 men in the first half with Damien Kennedy being sent off for striking Dave Cahalane which Dave had to be carried off the field to return towards the end of the second half.the game started off with Campbelltown scoring the first try in the third minute with Amano Tovio scoring in the corner and Dayne Craig converting 6 -0 but it only took 4 minute for Brothers to convert and even the score through Joel Orton and Chris Morson converting.Campbelltown scored to quick trys through Wayne Dunnky and Pat Frank with Dayne Craig converting both 18 - 6 to the Eagles with 18 minute to go it was Brothers who would have last say of the second half with Dave Cahalane crossing the line to bring half time score to 18 - 12.
The second half Brothers scored two trys in five minutes through Joel Orton his second and big front rower Latu Fifita both being converted by Chris Morson and to put Brothers in front for the first time but this was not to before long as injuries started to take toll on the Brothers players with Campbelltown Scouring 4 trys in 24 minute with Amano Tovio,Dayne Craig and Lance Siataga score twice and Dayne converting two of the four to bring fulltime score to 38 - 24 to Eagle.
Next and last home game is against Wentworthville this Sunday at 2.30 Nepean Rugby Park.
